The British Government Removes All COVID-19 Travel Rules for Nigerians
The United Kingdom has dropped all remaining Covid-19 travel rules from 4 am 18th of March 2022, allowing international travelers, regardless of vaccine status, to enter the country. Without passenger locator form. Also, removing the need for pre-departure tests and a day 2 post-arrival test for passengers who are unvaccinated.
According to a tweet by Transport Secretary Grant Shapps, he wrote. “The UK is leading the world in removing all remaining COVID-19 travel restrictions. Today’s announcement is a testament to the hard work everyone has put in place to roll out the vaccine and protect each other”. While there will be no border health measures on arrival in the UK.
But according to Nigerian Covid-19 guidelines, all passengers traveling out of Nigeria are still required to provide the following regardless of the UK travel rule changes:
- Evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination, or
- A negative COVID-19 PCR test for unvaccinated passengers is required no longer than 48 hours before departure.

The U.S. is still enforcing strict Covid-19 testing rules for travelers coming to the U.S.
On Dec. 2, 2021, the Biden Administration said that all passengers will need to prove to be Covid-19 negative if flying to the U.S.

France Lifts Most of Its Covid-19 Restrictions on Unvaccinated Travelers
Holidays in France become easier from March 14th, 2022, as the country drops its strict vaccine passport rules and face masks.
The country has removed the requirement to be vaccinated for most venues and events and lifted the requirement to carry a mask in most places. But the country still requires face masks to be worn indoors; hospitals and care homes still require proof of vaccination.
