Ghana relaxes some of its Covid-19 Travel Requirements
Ghana has ended some of its compulsory Covid-19 requirements in public places. With infections declining, and economic pressure mounting to open up. Becoming the newest African nation to ease travel restrictions.
For fully vaccinated people, wearing a face mask in public is no longer necessary. Conferences, parties, cinemas, theatres, religious and sporting activities can also occur at maximum capacity. If the participants and audience receive complete vaccinations, handwashing, and hand sanitizers must be available at the venue.
As Ghana’s President stated in his 28th nationwide COVID-19 address late Sunday. The review focused on the declining infections, a relatively successful vaccination campaign managed by Ghana’s Health Service. And increased capacity of both the public and private health sectors in the last two years. However, the President urged facility managers to remind people to wash their hands regularly. Adding that they should also educate the public to observe hygiene practices.
On the 28th of March 2022, fully vaccinated travelers entering Ghana through Kotoka International Airport will not need to undergo the PCR test. We will not test them upon arrival.

“Citizens and foreign residents in Ghana who have not received their vaccines or completed their vaccination intake will need to show a negative PCR test result within 48 hours. They will undergo testing with a rapid antigen test at the Ghana airport and offer vaccination intake there.
Ghana’s foreign missions must set a vaccination requirement for visa acquisitions.
