Yes, Medbury is accredited to carry out COVID 19 Testing as a  member of Lagos State Laboratory Consortium

There are 2 main types of tests for COVID-19; a Laboratory based test called a Polymerase Chain Reaction ( PCR) Test And

Rapid Diagnostic Testing (RDTs)

ONLY the PCR is available at our Lagos Testing  centres as NO RDT has been validated or approved for testing in Lagos State

Currently ONLY Chinese nationals travelling to China have been given approval for Antibody Testing in line with entry requirements by the Chinese government 

The cost of a COVID-19 PCR Test in Lagos is  50,400NGN only

We take extra measures at Medbury to provide the best standards of high quality to every test conducted as we also run routine quality checks. Your result will most likely reflect the true state of diagnosis and therefore we do not welcome refunds for services rendered.

1 . Simply walk in to any of our sample collection service centres to make your booking onsite and have your test done

Please note that due to high volume of calls, messages have proved to be more effective during peak periods. However. we will promptly return your calls if missed and respond to your messages.

Results are typically ready within 24 to 48 hours

 

The test itself takes less than 5 minutes , however expect to spend between 15 to 30 minutes at the test center 

 

Medbury has a 5 step process from entry to exit


You will be required to do the following:


1. Verify your booking / payment or assignment email ( for those assigned from the Lagos State Biobank) 


2. Complete and Sign a Consent Form 


3. Complete statutory forms required by the State and NCDC onsite 


4. Confirm your name and details on your sample bottle 


5. Take your test

No , it is not painful; it can be slightly uncomfortable

We currently have the capacity to take samples in Lagos, Warri and Port Harcourt and we will be expanding to some other cities in Nigeria soon. However, we can make special arrangements for sample collection for organizations outside the cities mentioned above if justifiable.

Yes. You can be asymptomatic despite being infected with Covid 19. It is required to stay isolated for 14 days if this is so to prevent transmitting the virus to close ones.

You will be counselled and informed by one of our counsellors or the Lagos State Government; Currently the practice is to self isolate at home if you are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms. If however you become sick , you can proceed to any of the Lagos State Isolation Centres. Please call any of these numbers for guidance
